Hey, I'm Sunny Sea Gold.

Here's What's Up

I'm Sunny Sea Gold (real name). I'm an author, veteran content creator, award-winning journalist, and media connector (a.k.a. really good at hooking up projects I care about with publicity). Peruse the below, and reach out if you want to talk about a gig.

What I Do for Clients

I'm a written-content expert—not sound, video, or social—which means that I write, edit, or ghostwrite books, book proposals, articles, newsletters, and white papers, and also consult on content marketing for clients like O: The Oprah Magazine, WebMD, and Fitbit. Click for a client list, portfolio, and testimonials.

#FatMom

I'm fat. I'm a mom. And I write about body positivity, health, binge eating disorder, and the realities of being heavy while raising two young daughters. I also publish an every-so-often newsletter with gorgeous body-positive images and the latest info on size acceptance called Body Beautiful. (Sign up for it).

My Book

My book, Food: The Good Girl's Drug, was the first self-improvement memoir for young women who binge or emotionally overeat. Published by Berkley Books (part of the Penguin Group) in 2007, it's sold more than 20,000 copies. I'm working on a new book, about far-out religious groups in Oregon.
